Now im not a fanboy to either EA or 2K but im so sick of all this 2K talk already, that game is 4 years old, the gameplay is stale! The graphics were okay but player faces were horrible, all it had going for it was the Halftime Report with Chris Berman, Madden10s extra point and halftime shows look whack tho, why dont they actually use the ESPN license they have on the game instead of putting its EA logo everywhere and ESPN's logo is on the back of the case in the bottom corner, Im pretty sure that if EA actually used the liscense and made a real good duplicate of 2K5s haltime show, they would stop hating and shut up.

You were all brainwashed by a pretty halftime show that covered up the stale gameplay people!

I love it how the game hasn't even came out yet and a user has already rated it a 4.5. Go back to 2k5 you 2k fans and quit hatin on Madden cause they make good business decisions.

in 2007 Jeremiah Trotter was released after he was exposed as a weakness in the playoffs against the Saints the year before, its sad and no one wants to see a fan favorite depart but it happens, its a business, that is basically the same reason dawkins didnt return to Philly.

    Peace! Go Eagles!

Stevieweiser, what team do you like or are you afraid to represent? since you know so much about everyone elses teams

and to people who are trying to correct him, he never said dawkins was still an Eagle.
I said Dawkins was a liabilty in coverage and im a huge Eagles fan and very respectful to everything Dawkins has done for the Eagles and he is one of my favorite players, but he was beat in coverage last year in a few games like the 1st game against Dallas and the NFC Championship game, not all his fault but he is starting to decline a little, still a very solid player and i wish he was still an Eagle, denver signed him to become a leader and influence that defense, plus he is still pretty good

notice the Eagles creeped him up to the line alot last year (they always do) but they did it more than they ever did, he made more of an impact recording sacks and rushing the QB, he had 3 sacks 6 forced fumbles and 1 int, but he wasnt the ball hawk he used to be.

My goodness you really are super knowledgeable Stevieweiser...as USS Voyager said, Dawkins isn't with the team. I'd erase that last post if I were you.

Where do you find the ratings for the teams (and players) at?

  • Stevieweiser

    Posted Aug 12, 2009 8:10 am PT

The Eagles are poised for a great run (not an Eagles fan either) this season. Someone posted something about Dawkins being a liability in coverage...if he is or isn't doesn't matter. He's past 30 and doesn't play QB. That's the way the Eagles roll and if any Philly fans don't like it (which I'm sure there will be plenty who will cry and whine, that's all they know) they should root for someone else. Their front office and staff makes them competitive every year, what else can you gripe about? Want to know what happens when a team hangs on to too many old farts? Look at Kansas City! They were great for about a decade and didn't start rebuilding until it was too late. Whoops!

Some of these posts are awful and almost unreadable because of the spelling and grammar. Anyway, for those complaining about the ratings, it was time EA scaled them down a bit. What's the point in having ratings range from 0-99 when you don't use the last half of those ratings? I have a favorite team too but some of you all are just about as ignorant as any football fan I've ever met. Steelers suck, go Bengals? Are you kidding me? The Bengals will be lucky to go 8-8 with a crappy O and D-line. And what is with all the Baltimore fan postings that they'll be able to beat the Steelers this year? (I'm not a Steelers fan, just a knowledgeable football fan) Baltimore is a shell of a team that it was last year. The loss of Rex Ryan will hurt more than you all ever realize, not to mention the Ravens have age issues (too young and too old) all over that roster.

How can the 49ers be ranked 73 overall? Because they suck, that's why. Frank Gore and Patrick Willis are their only studs. Clements is overrated and overpaid. Takeo Spikes is washed up. Crabtree can't even sign a contract plus he's not exactly fast. Sounds like you're still hung up on 2006 and 2007 all-star teams.

How are the Rams a 66? Look at their record the past two seasons! They're awful! The hiring of Scott Linehan was a terrible move. The Rams have a long way to go but they now have a respectable coach to get them there. Look for them to draft a QB next year and their fortunes will improve then.

This game is absolutely terrible. I cant wait until someone else gets the rights to make a football game. When going to intercept, the ball bounces off my character and is totally 50/50 on whether they will intercept. At one point, the ball went right through the defender (not his hands, but hi actual body.) My friend caught the ball in the end zone on a 2 point conversion and was called out when he was clearly in even after watching slow mo replay. Tackles sound hollow as opposed to bone crunching and many times, you dont feel like you have complete controls over the players.

I would recommend playing before buying. Many Gamestops have it in their display systems.

killazunlimited, I agree our Defense will not be the same as last year and J.J.'s passing is a big loss, but besides Westbrook, and McNabb this is a young and talented team that will make a run for the next few years, maybe a younger defense will relate to a younger Def. Coordinator? Dawkins was still a solid player but his coverage was becoming a liability. If the Eagles can overcome the mental aspects than they will be a top 5 defense again.

By the way, the Ravens will whoop up on the Steelers this year on defense, last year Big Ben had 17 TDs and 15 INTs, he is a turnover machine, the Ravens will just feed off of that. They'll probably split the series and Pittsburgh will go 11-5 or 10-6. but Im not sold on Joe Flacco
